The Econo Lodge hotel of Goose Creek was recently announced as a recipient of a prestigious 2010 Platinum Hospitality Award from global lodging leader Choice Hotels International.

Otto Kaske (above) of Hometown Realty has been elected to serve as president of PEER (Professional Executives for Education Referrals), a referral and networking group that meets every Thursday at McAllister-Smith Funeral Home on St James Blvd. in Goose Creek. “The purpose of the group is to educate and promote referrals for all of the members,” Kaske said. “We are now accepting applications from all interested people; however, only one representative from each profession can join.
