Pride Week Blitz approaches for county

Berkeley County and PalmettoPride have teamed up for the 14th Pride Week Blitz, a community cleanup program under PalmettoPride’s “Pickup” tract.

Municipalities and residents will organize community cleanups during the week of May 3 - 10. The mission of Pride Week is to encourage citizens to get involved in cleanups and beautification projects, to increase volunteer participation in on-going cleanup efforts and to educate people on the effects of litter.

Several challenges have been laid out for municipalities, community and neighborhood groups, schools and youth groups to provide beautification grant money for cleanup efforts. Trash bags, safety vests and work gloves will be provided for all volunteers.

For more information on how to participate, please
