The first is Pamela Poole who was born in Charleston while her dad was stationed at the Air Force Base, but they later settled in North Carolina. One of her dreams came true when her own family was able to move back here in 2004 with her husband’s work.
The second artist is Nancy Love who lives on Headquarters Island. As such, she is continually exposed to the exquisite natural beauty of our tidal marsh islands and sea island scenery that provides the inspiration for many of her original paintings.
Poole teaches art and history classes locally to home educated high school students. She was awarded Who’s Who Among American Teachers in 2005-2006. Her professional affiliations include exhibiting board member of the Summerville Artist Guild, exhibiting member of the Charleston Artist Guild, Charleston Outdoor Painters, and the Charleston Jewelry Guild.
Her most visible work is an historic mural displayed for over a decade in Claremont City Park, N.C. For more information, see www.pamelapoole.com
Love has traveled extensively across the United States, photographing interesting subject matter that she paints from in order to add variety to her portfolio. She has studied with renowned artists here in Charleston and in Arizona when she was able to feature the unique western scenery and landscapes. She is an active member of the Charleston and Mt. Pleasant Artist Guilds.
Both of these artists’ works will hang through the month of May at Crowfield Golf and Country Club, 300 Hamlet Circle in Goose Creek.
