Dear Editor:

I would like to commend Mayor Heitzler for his stance on improving the roadways of Goose Creek.

How refreshing to have someone who wishes to lead a project rather than wait in line for state and/or federal handouts that may or may not come. His determination to have our community take responsibility and accountability for its own welfare is what historically made this great nation. Imagine what could be accomplished if there were to catch on!

Let’s get behind the mayor on this and give him the 1 percent sales tax increase he needs so that we may have the roadways we deserve.
