VFW Loyalty Day a success




The annual VFW Post 10256 Loyalty Day celebration was held in the


Goose Creek Post Home Sunday.   


Post Commander John Cardno opened the program and welcomed the


guests.  Post Chaplain elect Evan Barnard gave the opening prayer.


Commander Cardno introduced Post Loyalty Day Chairman Gerald T.


Pothier who delivered the Loyalty Day speech which recognized the 50th anniversary of Loyalty Day, and honored the men and women of our armed forces who have provided our nation with security and freedom for over 200 years.  


Cardno and Pothier then presented the awards to the honored recipients as follows:


Law Enforcement Certificate of Appreciation:  


Lance Corporal Jaime Cardona (SC Highway Patrol)   


Corporal Fred Grisham (Goose Creek Police  Department)


Corporal C. C. McElvogue (Berkeley County Sheriffs Office)   


Paramedic Certificate of Appreciation:


Paramedic Ted Dusenberry (Berkeley County  EMS)


EMT Certificate of Appreciation:


EMT Tom Jurgensmeyer (Berkeley County EMS)   


VFW Commander-in-Chief  Life Saving Award:
