Voter registration deadline May 10

The State Election Commission released a reminder this week: citizens not already registered to vote must register no later than May 10 in order to participate in the June 10 Republican and Democratic Primaries.

As a reminder, voters who have moved to another county must register in their new county prior to the deadline in order to participate in the primaries.

Voters needing to register to vote have the following options:

• Stopping by their county voter registration office.

• Downloading the Voter Registration form from the Voter Information section of www.scvotes.org. The form should be printed, completed and mailed to the voter’s county registration office

Not all county voter registration offices will be open on

Saturday, May 10.  Check with your local office regarding

Saturday hours.  All applications postmarked by May 10 will be

accepted.
