William Goshorn

          William L. “Bill” Goshorn, 87, of Summerville, husband of Edna Murray Goshorn, died Tuesday, April 29.

            Funeral services were held May 2 at Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville, with burial at Summerville Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Ave., Suite 101, N. Charleston, SC 29405 or to Bethany United Methodist Church, 118 W.  3rd South St., Summerville, SC 29483.

            Mr. Goshorn was born May 23, 1920 in Cane, IL, a son of William D. Goshorn and Evelyn Erwin Goshorn. He retired as Sales Manager with Dorchester Coca-Cola Bottling Co. He was a member of the Summerville Noon Lions Club for 50 years during which time he received two Melvin Jones Fellows awards. Mr. Goshorn was a Mason for 66 years. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Edna Goshorn of Summerville; two sons, William L. Goshorn, Jr. and wife Nancy of Bonneau Beach and Bobby D. Goshorn and wife Ricki of Hilton Head; one sister, Norma Stimson of Summerville; six grandchildren, Mary Kay Frank, David, Ryan, Brad, Jeff, and Ross Goshorn; four great-grandchildren, Laura Lynn, Michaele, and Jarrett Frank, and Dylan Goshorn.
