McConnell, John Charles

Heaven’s Very Special Child, John Charles McConnell, 40 of Goose Creek, SC passed away and went back to Heaven at 12:39 pm on Christmas Eve.

Visitation was held Monday morning, December 28, 2009 at Parks Funeral Home in Summerville. The Mass of the Angels was held at St. John the Beloved Catholic Church Monday morning, December 28, 2009 at 11 am in Summerville. Burial was in Summerville Cemetery. Donations can be made to the ARK, C/O St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 206 Central Avenue, Summerville, SC 29483 or the Coastal Center, 9995 Jamison Road, Ladson, SC 29456.

Born in Waukesha, WI on October 3rd, 1969, John attended Wee Care Nursery and Meadowview School in Oconomowoc, WI.  After moving to Knoxville TN, John graduated with a Special Ed Diploma at Beardon High School in 1992. John proudly held positions at Stefanos Pizza, BiLo and Sunshine Industries. John also attended Sonshine Special Ed Bible School at First Baptist Church in Concord, TN. John spent the last 10 years with his devoted Mother in Goose Creek, SC where he attended the ARC in Summerville and Low Country Day Care in Goose Creek.

John is survived by a loving clan including Ann McConnell, Mother; Richard McConnell, Father; Steve McConnell, brother and his wife Jayme; Suzanne Spencer, sister; Joe McConnell, brother and his wife Lyn; Martha Looney, sister and her husband Michael; as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and caregivers including his Aunt Esther, Uncle Steve and cousins Jessica, Stephen, Sara and all the loving people at the Coastal Center.
