PalmettoBizBuzz seeks votes for ‘Most Trusted’ businesses

CHARLESTON, S.C. – PalmettoBizBuzz, a Web site that allows consumers to rate and review local businesses, is looking for the “Most Trusted” businesses in the Lowcountry. The first annual BizBuzzBest promotion invites consumers to vote for those businesses and professionals who have done the best job of earning the trust of their customers.

BizBuzzBest 2008 includes 25 business categories where trust is particularly important for consumers. In order to be eligible to vote in this promotion, consumers must have actually written reviews on PalmettoBizBuzz.

“We want BizBuzzBest 2008 to be more than just a popularity contest,” said Ward Lassoe, president of PalmettoBizBuzz. “Our users understand the importance of good customer service, so we believe they’re well qualified to decide which businesses are the “Most Trusted” in the Lowcountry, The more reviews that a consumer has written, the more their vote will be worth.”

The business categories for the BizBuzzBest promotion are:

• Building Contractor

• Car Dealer

• Car Repair and Service

• Child Care / Day Care Center

• Chiropractor

• Computer Service and Repair

• Cosmetic Surgeon / Plastic Surgeon

• Dentist

• Hair Salon

• Health Club

• Hospital

• Insurance Agent

• Landscaper

• Lasik Eye Surgeon

• Mortgage Broker

• Mover

• Orthodontist

• Pediatrician

• Photographer

• Plumber

• Pest Control Company

• Realtor

• Swimming Pool Company

• Veterinarian

In addition to these business categories, voters will also be able to choose the “Most Beloved Church” in the Lowcountry as part of the BizBuzzBest promotion.

Voting begins on Friday, February 8 and concludes on Thursday, February 21. The winning businesses will be announced on Wednesday, February 27 on WCBD-TV (Channel 2 - NBC). Winners will receive a certificate honoring them as one of the “Most Trusted” business in the Lowcountry for 2008. To encourage Lowcountry consumers to participate in the BizBuzzBest promotion, PalmettoBizBuzz is sponsoring a prize drawing of $1000.  Everyone who submits a qualified ballot will automatically be entered in the drawing.
