Knights, Hawks grapplers go 2-3 in tournaments

The wrestling teams from Stratford and Hanahan high were in action this past weekend.

The Knights, taking part in the Gamecock Duals at Sumter, finished 2-3 in the event. They beat Lake City 39-37 in the seventh-place match.

Their other win was an easy one against the House Team. They lost matches against Loris, Sumter and Westside. Two of the three were very close setbacks.

Noah Shuler was named to the all-tournament team at 189 pounds.

The Hawks competed in the Lakeland Duals in Ninety Six and finished 2-3.

They knocked off Laurens and Bamberg-Ehrhardt and lost closely to Abbeville twice and also a match to White Knoll.
