Goose Creek rec releases sports camp, programs

The Goose Creek Recreation Commission has released the following classes and camps. All programs require pre-registration-register early to avoid missing out or having a class cancelled due to low enrollment!

• Open House for Gymnastics, Cheer and Tumbling:  Meet the new gymnastics, cheer and tumbling staff and try a free introductory class at the Casey Community Center gymnastics center.  Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30.  Call the Casey Center at 572-1321 for details.

• Fast Pitch Softball Camp and Baseball Camp:  For ages 7-12.  These camps will benefit the beginner players as well as more experienced players.  Monday-Thursday, June 9-12, 8 am-12 noon at Felkel Field.  Each camp is  $65 and includes T-shirt.

• Baseball Camp: For ages 7-12.  This camp will benefit the beginner baseball player as well as the more experienced player.  Monday-Thursday, June 9-12, 8 am-12 noon at Felkel Field.  $65 fee includes T-shirt.

• Girls Basketball Camp: For ages 9-12 at the Community Center basketball gym.  Monday-Friday, June 16-20, 9 a.m. - 12 noon.  Camp fee is $50 and includes camp t-shirt.

• C3 All-Star Cheerleading Tryouts:  Tryouts for boys and girls in grades 1-12 will be held on Saturday, May 24, 9 a.m. - 12 noon at the Casey Community gymnastics center.  All participants will be placed on a team.  There will be a parents meeting on Thursday, May 22, 7:30-8:30 pm to discuss the program.

• Cheer Camp: For boys and girls ages 5-18, this camp will cover cheers, chants, tumbling, power tumbling, stunts, jumps and basic dance skills.  Camps are held Monday-Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. -12:30 pm. Choice of camp dates: June 16-19, July 14-17 or August 4-7.
