GCHS softball looks ahead

The Goose Creek softball team finished its regular season with an overall record of 14-11 and a second place finish in the region where the squad finished 7-3.

Head Coach Tracey Younts’ squad tied with Berkeley but won the tiebreaker.

After impressive wins over Orangeburg-Wilkinson (11-0 and 17-0), the Lady Gators dropped tough losses to Stratford, Berkeley and Wando, before rebounding to defeat James Island 4-2 last week.

As the playoffs approached, Younts said GCHS will “regroup and have some good practice.”

The Lady Gators were slated to host a first round playoff game today.
