Mecho Bohren


Trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs and one man on during a playoff match-up against Spring Valley, the Stratford Knights needed a hit.

At the plate stood SHS first baseman Mecho Bohren. With his senior season on the line, Bohren waited for his pitch and delivered a 2-run homer to send the game into extra innings.

Bohren’s hit allowed the Knights to score the winning run in the bottom of the eighth.

“I think he knew when he hit the ball that it was out of here,” Stratford Head Coach John Chalus said.
